Helping Players Win in Life and on the 'Ice'
The Tyrone Hockey Program serves kids ages 5 to 18. Our motto 'Helping Players Win in Life and on the Ice' is our primary focus as we strive to develop competitive hockey players with great character.
Roller hockey is an inexpensive way to get your son or daughter playing hockey. From ages 5 to 12 we primarily focus on having tons of fun and learning hockey skills. From ages 13 and up it gets more competitive as our Jr-Sr high team competes in the Tyrone Roller Hockey League (TRHL).
We have witnessed first hand over the years the rapid development of hockey players in Tyrone who have played roller hockey and ice hockey. The reason for this is roller hockey is practically free. The rink is there for youth to use and work on their game. Notable players that have come up through and played in our league include current Penn State D2 Ice Lions, Ambrose Aquadro and Matthew Erlichman. Ambrose is also one of the coaches for our Jr-Sr high team and also coaches in our Summer Camp.

Tyrone Jr/Sr High Hockey Team
The Jr/Sr High team is for ages 14 and up. Coaches will determine if a player is ready to play at this level and may determine the player needs more development before joining team. Practices are on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm from late April to mid-August.
Our team plays against adult teams in the TRHL. The competition is tough, but the experience our players receive is priceless. Tough competition has made the team better so much so that five of our players now significantly contribute to a local high school ice hockey team as underclassmen.
